Generally designs in Embroidery Digitizing for Logos there are small logos with smaller text height.
A precession is taken while digitizing the small text where a minimum of 1mm stitch length is available for smooth running of embroidery machines without any thread breakages. And are readable after sew out.

a) Generally company prefers to use embroidery design of their logo on front left chest or back side of the shirts. Most of the challenge for digitizing is for the left chest placement logo as design size will be around 3 to 4 inches width max. Sometimes text used in the designs are too small and not legitimate when embroidered or in other words not embroidery friendly.
For example in below design for a given size, Text "Design & Build" is too thin for satin stitch coverage, Digitizer needed to create in a way that the text has minimum 1mm thickness for stitch clarity.
Any kind of alteration has to be approved from the client before submitting final design.
And explained to them why such a call has been taken from digitizer for changes.
b) Digitizers have to alter design text in such a way that at least 5mm height is maintained in text for stitch clarity. Keeping the same font of the original design.
For example, in below design for a given size by client which does not increase from a permissible size, Text "ENERGY SOLUTIONS" had to be increase in such a way that height of text is 5mm minimum in height and satin stitch is at least 1mm for clarity reasons.
Below text "SOLAR BATTERY STORAGE ELECTRICAL AIR CONDITIONING" Had to be stacked so that Each text is minimum 5mm high and 1mm stitch coverage in satin stitch for clarity reasons.
Of course, the layout of design was changed as per original but this was explained to the client and after their approval final design was submitted.
c) With experience in past Sometimes client gives a proper instruction from their side to simplify the design, below design is a perfect example of this.
1) Embroidered text has to be legible, digitizer should explain client before any changes
2) Sometimes text layouts has to be changed, depending upon how the final sew out will results. This may include stacking of text if needed, of course with permission of client.
3) Bigger the design better clarity can be achieved.
4) Simplifying details in the logo to make it more legible and embroidery friendly if need be.
All the decisions on altering Text height, stacking text or any other changes has to be discussed prior with clients and explain them why the need is for better clarity of embroidered version
